Climbing Mera Peak

Mera Peak is officially the highest trekking peak of Nepal. It is also the most preferred peak, trekkers like to achieve it once in a lifetime for a breathtaking view of world's towering mountains. In a clear day people can have a view of world 4 highest mountains including Mt. Everest 8848m, Mt. Lhotse 8516m, Mt. Makalu 8485m, Mt. Cho Oyu 8201m and other surrounding high mountains in Everest region of Nepal.
Mera Peak is considered more adventurous and less challenging than other trekking peaks with little or no mountaineering experience. But we recommended climbers to partake in preparative fitness and altitude training before attempting an ascent. For proper acclimatization, to high altitude, it is necessary to every climber to cope up with the environment.

It is best for trekkers who are looking for an exciting expedition style camping and climbing trip in Nepal.

History: The Peak was first climbed by J.O.M Roberts and Sen Tenzing in 1953 AD. However, the proper ascent of Mera Peak was made in 1975 by French climbers- Marcel Jolly, G. Baus and L. Honnis who climbed the North peak following the same route as Roberts but traversing along the connecting ridge to the further summit.

Highlights:
  • Exploration around the wild, uninhabited and beautiful - Hongu and Hinku valleys.
  • Experience the culture and tradition of highland Sherpa tribe communities.
  • Expedition style tented climbing trip.

Best Season: Spring (March, April, May) and Autumn (September, October)
